Lisa Grant has been in the big city, but she’s ready for some calm again. Moving close to home, she hopes to find some peace and normalcy. Once a big-city cop, but now a small-town police chief.
But when a skeleton is found, it’s obvious that foul play is involved, and her small-town department calls for reinforcements. Ex-Navy SEAL, Mac MacGregor arrives on the scene. Leaving the SEALs had been a hard decision, but hoping for a quieter life had been his motivation to join the detective ranks in a nearby town. The two hit it off, despite the greusome investigation.
As truth is uncovered, witnesses begin dying. Someone will stop at nothing to stay out of trouble. Lisa and Mac work around the clock to find this killer. But it seems that all that is standing between the killer and freedom could be Lisa.
This was a thrilling read that I went through pretty fast! I always enjoy Irene Hannon’s books. They keep me hooked until the last page!
I was given a free copy of this book by the publisher, in exchange for an honest review.
