Dolled Up to Die by Lorena McCourtney

dolled up

This book is pretty fast-paced. In the beginning, Cate (an assistant PI) is called to a triple murder. But as she arrives on the scene, she finds out the “victims” are actually life-sized dolls. After beginning an investigation, a real victim is found, and from here, the plot thickens! The victim is the caller’s ex-husband, and the two ladies start trying to put the pieces together.

Who could have done this? There’s the new wife, the blonde bimbo who really wasn’t happy with her new husband. The blonde bimbo’s mother, who is very mysterious and caught up in “former lives.” There is the motorcycle-riding vineyard keeper at the ex-husband’s business. Also, the blonde bimbo’s former husband, an ex-con who shows up. Could it be coincidence? It takes a while, and goes through a lot of twists and turns, but you will be surprised at the ending!

I received the book free from the publisher. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
